Louisiana Saturday Nights
Louisiana weather is always crazy. One minute it's cold, the next it's hot! This week has been such a dramatic week, both in life and in the atmosphere. I love cold weather, but I also love spring weather. It seems like Louisiana doesn't have much of a spring though. Our weather goes from winter to summer feeling. Although Louisiana is the funniest in the summer I am already ready for it to come and go. Hopefully this summer will be good for everyone. The heat is coming but stay safe!

I’m going to be honest; I had no idea what to blog about
tonight so I decided to Google blog topics. After that came up unsuccessful I
just decided to blog about Google itself. I love Google. I use Google for
everything, it’s kind of sad really. I wonder what people did before Google. I
am not sure if any other people say this but, me and my friends, when someone asks a
question and the other person doesn’t know the answer you just respond with “Google
it”. I probably hear that a handful of times a day. So I would just like to
take a moment to say thank you to the creator of Google! Also now the word
Google sounds funny to me because I have typed it so many times. Sorry for this
random blog entry. =)

Mommyhood Funnies
I am going to share this because I just find it humorous. If
you don't have young children that watch Nick Jr. then you’re probably not
going to be interested. My daughter’s favorite TV show is one called Max and
Ruby. It is about these two little bunnies one named Ruby, the sister and Max,
the little brother. Well Ruby takes care of Max and she is just a child. It’s
quite odd. She cooks for him, puts him to bed and everything. Well Kendall, my
daughter, asked me where Max and Ruby’s mommy and daddy were. I really want to
know this answer too! Where are their parents??? The funniest part is I came
across this picture on the web and I couldn’t help but to get tickled.

Love, Amore, Amar, & however else you say it!
Oh, you can tell spring is fast approaching because love is
in the air! My best friend is getting engaged and I cannot express my excitement
for her! As I look around I notice my singleness and I can’t help but to laugh
about it. I am the only single one out of all my friends and the only single
one at work. It is so like me to be the different one. I have been out of the
game so long I don’t even realize when guys are flirting with me, it’s sad
really. So considering my best friends hate the fact that I am single (more
than I even do) they have set out on a mission to hook me up. This consists of
three guys, Mr. Recently Divorced, Mr. Single Dad, and Mr. Looking for a Good
Time. While I am so far not interested in any of them I decided to humor my friends
and let one of the three take me on a date next weekend. I might back out for all
I know! I am quite nervous. This will be my first date in two years. But I know
the day will come one day when I need to move on and I guess that day will be
next Saturday. No matter how the date goes I am happy that I am finally doing
something after dealing with the split from my daughter’s father that has taken
me two years to face. Considering he is no longer in my life or hers I guess I
owe it to her to find an appropriate male role model. Wish me luck! My feet are
freezing!

Birthdays
I can't believe how fast February is flying by. Next comes March which is my favorite month of the year because it holds my daughters birthday! I always try to out do myself each year with her birthday. It's kind of like "My Super Sweet Sixteen" toddler style! I make cakes and sweets for a living so that is always the easiest part of planning. The hard part is the entertainment that I have to decide on. Last year I did a bounce house, pony rides, & a clown. Which I now regret totally because I am all out of ideas! Maybe since she wants a princess theme party I can rent some people to dress up as princesses, disney world style. Who knows? I really do love planning parties. I just imagine all the things I always dreamed of having as a child and try to give my baby them. It's one of the many fun things you get to do as a mother. Nothing can compare to the light you see in your child's eye on birthdays! So wish me luck as I set out on my mission to top myself once again!!

Bless her heart!
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” is
probably one of the oldest sayings in the world. I think it is absurd that we still
have to say it today. Being raised in the south is something I thank God for
because there is just something about southerners that other people just don’t
really have or grasp; manors. I have never understood how someone can be so
rude right off the bat without understanding others situations. I know that everyone
has bad days but that doesn’t give you a reason to be ugly. I guess maybe it is
just me being tender hearted and compassionate. I have a hard time saying no to
someone and I also have a hard time having to be ugly. I wish I didn’t get my
feelings hurt so easily but I guess that’s life! Maybe we would have world
peace if everyone would just follow that golden rule of doing unto others. I guess I will end in the words of the fabulous Miranda Lambert "I don't have to be hateful, I can just say bless your heart".

Excitement
I lead such a boring life! My conformation came this week of
that. Tuesday night I got a call from one of my best friends asking if I would
be interesting in adopting an English bulldog. I am not sure why she asked
considering she knows I have been looking for one since mine of 6 years passed
away 3 months ago! So in tears I went and picked up my new fur baby Hunter. He
is just the cutest little puppy ever, even though he is 60 pounds! After this
happened I was so excited posting pictures of him and going on and on about him
and then I get a text from another friend who tells me “you seriously need some
excitement in your life if you’re this worked up about a dog”! I couldn’t help
but to laugh because she is seriously right! Normally my only excitement comes
from watching Pretty Little Liars every Tuesday night so this was an unexpected
turn of events. I have decided to look into adding some excitement in my life
since her little reality check. I will be sure to keep you updated on my
progress. =)

My life...
My name is Stephanie. I am a nurse, personal chef, chauffer,
janitor, and friend tied up into one package – a mommy! I love being a mother.
I have a three year old princess named Kendall. She is my motivation for
everything I do. She consumes my day, my mind, and my heart! But bettering our
lives is my main goal. I work full time at a little cupcake boutique. I absolutely
love my job! When I wake up to go into work every morning (well, Monday –
Friday) I don’t even feel like I am going to work. There is just something
about making cupcakes and sweet treats all day, no one can hate that! Besides
working there I also have my own little cake venture on the side. I am
self-taught in the art of fondant cakes. I started out doing them for family
and friends but have recently built up a little clientele which really helps
out in paying the bills. I am a single parent to my little angle but I am okay
with that because it means twice the hugs for me. I have been going to college
for what seems like ever, majoring as a history major. It is kind of a career
fail because I didn’t discover my love of cakes and cupcakes until after I
started college. I am planning on becoming a history teacher. Being a teacher
will be the best option for me and my daughter because I will have the same
schedule as her which is extremely important to me because I am her only
parent. It will be great having summer and breaks off together! One day when
she is all grown up maybe I can pursue my dream and love in life which would be
to own my own bakery. Until then I will put my dreams on the back burner to
make sure she has her mommy as much as possible and has a great life!!
